This case of Six Bottles Contains One of Each of These Six Wines
Vernaccia di San Gimignano is a native grape variety to this very small DOCG in Tuscany. This was the very first DOC in Italy which was granted in 1966, becoming the superior version of DOCG in 1993. Although delicious now, Vernaccia has wonderful capacity to age due to its very good acidity and body. Aromas of white fruits, hazelnuts, white flowers and fresh herbs, with lingering scents of a summer meadow
This is a brilliant value Chianti from the estates of Andrea Cecchi. Made from 90% Sangiovese and 10% Colorino. The wine does not see any oak, making it a vibrant & fresh expression of Sangiovese. Hints of black forest fruits, woodland berries, saddle leather and victoria plums. The Cecchi family has 125 years of winemaking history and have some excellent vineyards at their disposal. This is a must buy wine for the price
Morellino di Scansano is a DOC on the Tuscan coast, close to the resort of Grosseto. The grape variety is Sangiovese, locally known as Morellino. The wines produced here differ from those of Chianti and the other parts of inland Tuscany. The climate on the coast is Mediterranean, and the wines are softer, warmer, and spicier than those of the other Sangiovese regions. Val delle Rose's Morellino is a delicious, savoury, black-cherry-scented red with a good body and freshness.
Vermentino is a very successful grape variety on the Tuscan coast. Val delle Rose's is punchy and aromatic with aromas of a bowl of fruit salad with notes of white peaches, yellow apples and lime with added notes of fresh herbs, honeysuckle and spicy cinnamon. A lively, fresh and summery white, perfect for drinking with salads or seafood or just on its own as an aperitif.
A great value single-estate Chianti Classico from vineyards at around 250 metres in the village of Castellina in Chianti. The wine is 95% Sangiovese and 5% Colorino aged for 9 months in barriques and made from low yielding vines. The wine is rich and full with notes of brambles, black cherries, forest fruits and victoria plums. Backed up with fine, crisp acidity and well-formed, elegant tannins
Villa Rosa is a single estate Chianti Classico, purchased by Famiglia Cecchi in 2015. The Lucherini Bandini family formerly owned the estate and employed Giulio Gambelli, 'il maestro assaggiatore', the great taster, as their winemaker. Gambelli saw the potential in these excellent vineyards, whose legacy of excellence is now continued by the current owners.
Villa Rosa Ribaldoni is made from the young vines on the estate, which are purely Sangiovese and are formed of the best terroirs of limestone and galestro. It has taken Andrea Cecchi, his wine-making team, and a few vintages to understand the terroir, but we now believe the quality is reaching its peak.

Organic & Biodynamic WInes
All the wines listed in this section are organic or biodynamic to varying degrees. Here, we list the wine which are also in organic conversion (i.e. not completed the 3 year process), with each wine listing its status.
Biodynamic goes a little further than organic. It is an all encompassing philosophy which has at its heart the biodynamic composts and sprays with actions performed account to the biodynamic calendar of root, leaf, flower, and fruit days.
