Larry Cherubino 2021 Uovo Cabernet Sauvignon Nebbiolo

Larry Cherubino is one of Western Australia's superstar winemakers. We have recently unearthed some of his gems, including this superb wine from Frankland River. It is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, and Nebbiolo fermented in a concrete egg - hence the label. Larry's striking personality comes out in this wine: it oozes with style, richness and concentration. The Nebbiolo gives the wine a lovely tannic bite and edginess on the mid-palate and finish.

I don't usually go for this kind of thing, but the packaging is beautiful: a combination of classiness and originality. Well done, Larry.
