Ugni-Blanc
Ugni Blanc, also known as Trebbiano Toscano in Italy, is a white grape variety that is primarily grown in France and Italy. It is a high-yielding grape that is widely used for the production of Cognac and Armagnac, due to its high acidity and low sugar content.
Ugni Blanc grapes are also used to produce still white wines, which are typically light-bodied and crisp, with flavours of lemon, green apple, and grapefruit. Ugni Blanc is sometimes blended with Colombard and Gros Manseng to produce refreshing, aromatic wines that are popular in the South-West, particularly Cotes de Gascogne. It is also found in Provence and Bordeaux.
