Ciliegiolo
Ciliegiolo is a black grape variety primarily grown in Tuscany, Italy. The name "Ciliegiolo" means "cherry-like" in Italian, which is a reference to the grape's distinctive cherry-like aromatics.
Ciliegiolo is most commonly used as a blending component in Chianti and Vino Nobile, but can be found as a single variety when grown around the Tuscan coast.
There are 1,830 hectares planted according to the Italian Grapevine Register census of 2010.
