Zuccardi's Valles range celebrates the characteristics of each individual valley of Mendoza, in this case the Uco, perhaps the country's leading Malbec source. The wine is deep and dense with concentrated blackcurrant fruit laced with vanilla, but it still has a freshness which makes it a thoroughly pleasing, satisfying and balanced wine.

The Country
Argentina
Argentina has established its reputation in the wine world based on its superb Malbecs, but is far from being a one trick pony. It is a country with wide variations in climate from the high altitude sites of Salta, some now exceeding 3,000 metres, to the valleys of Mendoza where 15% ABV Malbecs are not uncommon.
The cooler regions are making some interesting wines from Cabernet Franc, and if there were a candidate for the country's flagship white variety, the highly aromatic Torrontes would be a strong contender.
