Piedmont

Piedmont

The wines of Piedmont are my great passion, in particular Barolo. Here is a land of unequalled beauty producing wines of noble austerity and haunting complexity. Its sister wine, Barbaresco can be viewed with the same reverence, as they are both the ultimate expressions of Nebbiolo at its very finest. Elsewhere you can find delicious and more everyday red from Dolcetto d’Alba and Barbera d’Alba. Among the whites, the highlight is Gavi di Gavi which offers a big rush of bright fruit tinged with a little spice.
