Vriesenhof from Stellenbosch makes a delicious textbook, New World, Unoaked Chardonnay. We love its creaminess and varietal character without resorting to overbearing oak. If you can imagine a Southern Hemisphere version of a juicy Macon Villages, this is it. Expect to find some citrus, melon, and fig notes.
