Nervi Conterno 2015 Gattinara
A candidate for our wine of the year. This estate has recently been ought by Roberto Conterno of Giacomo Conterno fame, the producer of the world's greatest Nebbiolo, Barolo Riserva Monfortino. This is Nebbiolo grown in Alto Piemonte, further north towards the Alps than its homeland of the Langhe. Notes of Assam tea, incense, red flowers with a palate that is silky and delicate with an utterly perfect balance of tannins and richness.
