Cleto Chiarli 2019 Lambrusco Grasparossa Villa Cialdini

Lambrusco is a delicious drink normally served in its homeland of Emila Romagna with antipasti, but it's also great on its own for those seeking a Prosecco alternative. This is a deeply coloured sparkling red wine, with strong berry fruit aromas and very pleasant bitterness to the fruit, which is then refreshed with bubbles and a hint of sweetness. 

Only a few years ago Lambrusco was considered 'naff' but now the world is rediscovering this wine, and when it is made in the hands of artisans such as the Chiarli family, who have been making Lambrusco for 150  years, it is an absolute treat.
