Chateau de la Terriere is an historic winery situated in the heart of Brouilly on a south facing granite slope with old vines, mostly planted to bush vines.

The wine has a streak of minerality coupled with bright black cherry notes. The coolness of the 2021 vintage shows in the finesse of the wine.

Gamay

Gamay is mostly known for producing the red wines of Beaujolais, but is also grown in other regions of France, particularly in the Loire where it makes Cote Roannaise, Touraine and the odd vineyard in the western Loire. Gamay's defining characteristic is its low tannins and high acidity together with its vibrant black cherry aromas. On the odd occasion, if planted in the right terroir and made with precision, the wines from this variety can age and develop for many years, but it is appealing when young and most wines, due to the low tannins, can be drunk cool.
