Sam Lambson, Minimalist Wines

Minimalist Wines is our latest discovery of nouvelle vague wineries from South Africa. It is the creation of Sam Lambson, a graduate of Oenology at the University of Stellenbosch and veteran of vintages with Chris Ahleit and Lukas Van Loggerenberg.

Sam's mission is to create cool-climate Syrahs. He gained much recognition and praise for his Stars in The Dark Syrah, an expression from the 'Koffieklip', or coffee stone (or Ferricrete, as it is known to geologists) of Cape Agulhas. His latest creation, No Place Like Home is sourced from shale and sandstone sites in Elgin.
