Antinori Castello della Sala 2018 Cervaro della Sala

Cervaro della Sala was at the time, back in 1985, a pioneering white wine for Italy. It was the first white that was made with barrel fermentation, and still today is considered as one of Italy's greatest and most age worthy Chardonnays. To give the wine a regional character, there has always been a small proportion of the local white variety, Grechetto added to the blend.

Over the years the wine has become less flamboyant with more subtlety and elegance. The 2018 is a classic, relatively cool vintage which very much suits this style progression.
